Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer with a strong background in data engineering to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and backend systems. The role primarily focuses on data processing, transformation, and integration, with limited involvement in web development for building APIs or internal dashboards. Experience with containerization and exposure to AI/ML inference workflows is a strong plus. ‍

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for large-scale data processing

• Work with structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, files, streams)

• Implement ETL/ELT workflows for data ingestion, transformation, and validation

• Build and maintain backend APIs (REST/GraphQL) for data access and internal tools

• Optimize data processing jobs for performance, reliability, and scalability

• Containerize applications and services using Docker

• Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to support AI/ML inference pipelines

• Ensure data quality, monitoring, logging, and error handling

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions ‍

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in Python development

• Strong understanding of data engineering concepts and best practices

• Hands-on experience with:  

• Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, PySpark, or similar

• SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)

• Experience building and consuming REST APIs using frameworks like FastAPI or Flask

• Proficiency with Docker and container-based development

• Familiarity with Linux environments and shell scripting

• Experience with version control systems (Git)

Good to Have (Plus Skills)

• Experience with AI/ML inference (e.g., serving models using FastAPI, TorchServe, TensorFlow Serving, etc.)

• Exposure to big data tools (Spark, Kafka, Airflow, DBT, etc.)

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Basic frontend or dashboarding experience (Streamlit, Dash, or similar)

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
